This session will share our journey through implementing media literacy/digital wellness lessons in our K-5 library and technology program. This presentation showcases a comprehensive 6th-grade curriculum designed to equip students with critical thinking skills for engaging with media and digital content. Topics include digital footprints, privacy, misinformation, algorithms, AI, and media bias. Educators will explore engaging lessons that develop essential skills like fact-checking, ethical research, source evaluation, and AI prompting. Attendees will gain practical strategies for fostering responsible digital citizens and leave with resources to implement in their own classrooms.
