AI is capable of generating convincing, realistic content. But how good is it and how good are we at spotting it? This presentation takes a look at how we look at human vs. AI generated content. Using a case study about AI detection we will try to answer the questions: "Is it AI?" and "Is that the right question?"

Drawing on the presenter's past experiences as an AT service provider and special education teacher, this workshop will show how AI can be used as a powerful tool to provide accessibility for students and help educators make choices that will best meet their student's needs.

Add-ons are the best Google Classroom integrations. Not only can you use add-ons to quickly discover and share engaging content with your class, but they also solve many frustrations with embedding and linking to other resources in Classroom. Add-ons provide a better teacher and student experience, unlock powerful integration features for third-parties, and reduce time needed to access learning material. They’re available to anyone with a Google Workspace for Education Plus or Teaching & Learning upgrade license. This session will orient participants to the benefits of using Classroom add-ons as the go-to solution for bringing content into your coursework.

We have all incorporated problem-solving into our classrooms. In this session, we will share how we have structured our curriculum to move away from problem-solving for the sake of problem-solving and instead focus on designing solutions for others. We will discuss how our program began and how it continues to evolve.

The web-based Glowforge platform allows for quick imaging and design work while also providing a library of resources. Many teachers spend personal money to find age-appropriate, tactile materials to enhance learning through the use of manipulatives. These materials are easy to design and make with a laser cutter. This session will share ways in which a variety of disciplines have integrated personal material designs into their respective classrooms. It will also showcase student involvement in the use of this resource, promoting hands-on learning and student voice. We hope that this work will inspire others to want to re-envision classroom materials.

In this session, discover how AI can bring history to life in ways that engage and empower students. We will share how we used SchoolAI Spaces to help students creatively interact with historical figures. From drafting dramatic “break-up text” messages to engaging in conversations with rulers of the past, students deepened their understanding of history through immersive experiences.
