Teaching AI Through a Media Literacy Lens

As a librarian and a technology integrator we have spent the year exploring how to incorporate AI in a way that helps students think about media literacy anew. With AI being an everchanging technology teachers need to approach the topic with a flexible mindset. Our goal is for students to be able to successfully navigate the technology and critically think about its application. In this session we will share the lessons we have done with students and the workshops we have led with teachers. Participants will walk away with lesson ideas and new teacher tools to add to their repitoire.
